I've enjoyed almost every global DJ broadcast (exclusive of a handful of seriously awful guest mixes); but on the other hand, I've found with some consistency that Markus Schulz live sets are usually not very good. This one for example...after the first couple of tracks, it was horrible! Too many tracks with nothing more to show than some mind-numbing beats and brain cell-destroying synths with nothing melodic, a lot like house music. The only way he could have made it worse would be if he had included Ronsky Speed's abomination "The space we are" or any variant thereof. And it went on for like 3 hours!!@!1 I looked frequently at my iPod in the hopes that it was near the end.
And to top it off, he dares to insult his listeners by implying that Miami is his home. Those who know...know that he's from Arizona. The radio stations there even say thing like "Tune in later for the Global DJ Broadcast, with the Valley's own Markus Schulz" I can't imagine why he's such an ass as to deny where he's from. What's the matter - not a good fag club scene in AZ, or maybe his ""lover"" dumped him there or something? He should be honored for anyone to say Arizona in the same sentence as his name, and should actually be ashamed that he has any involvement with the sticky shit-hole that is Miami.
Anyway, I've undoubtedly pissed off some of the more loyal Schulz fans, and I apologize for that. I'll even admit that I didn't really care for Des Plaines while I was growing up there...that is, until I moved to the Aurora, a top contender for the official anus hole of Illinois (along with Chicago, of course). And whether or not Markus is bogus about where he calls 'home' I will keep listening to Global DJ as long as it's good (and free), and will keep criticizing his live sets as long as they're bad.
